Date: Zondag, 27 mei 2012 Simply touchA great potential of relaxation, healing and joy is hidden in the touch from human being to human being. This important, direct and vivid form of contact we loose more and more in this day and age of abstraction, intellect and ego. Our hands are not only for typing, holding the cell phone, eating and fixing the washing machine; they are also very sensitive, sophisticated tools for coming in touch with each other. We say: "Keep in touch!", and express, mostly unconsciously, a deep natural wish which is common to all living beings. Simply learnFrom the natural art of touching another being, Shiatsu was born. On this introduction day, only a few easy, but powerful techniques will be introduced. You do not need any experience to participate. Awareness of tension and relaxation of the body and awareness of the own and the partner's breath are practiced. Step by step, techniques are demonstrated and directly practiced with each other. Simply enjoyThis is a day of practice, not a day of theory. After five silent minutes of Shiatsu you know more about it than a five hours lecture. One principle in Shiatsu is that the person who lies on the mat as well as the person who is "doing" the Shiatsu has to feel comfortable in the treatment. Also during this day, this will be one of our main intentions: To enjoy the contact with each other. Simply meetShiatsu cannot be done alone. Just like a mirror is needed to see one's own face or another thing is needed to create a sound with something, the connection with another person is essential part of the process. Touch, pressure and movement reflect and help to release tensions and blockages and therefore to come in closer contact with one self.
